6:59 AM
poetree-house:
I’ve been told that people in the army do more by 7:00 am than I do in an entire day
but if I wake at 6:59 am and turn to you to trace the outline of your lips with mine I will have done enough and killed no one in the process.

last night
i had a dream that i was part of the cast of parks and recreations. it was such a fun and hilarious dream that i WOKE MYSELF UP BY LAUGHING TOO LOUD IN MY SLEEP. amy poehler and i were bffs and there was this one part where we were trying to do a scene together but kept screwing it up and were laughing and hugging each other.
1 of my top 5 favorite dreams, duh.

The Art of Distraction →
“For me, now, things do get done; books are finished, and other projects are started that are also finished. They take the time they take, and the breaks are as important as the continuities. Only a fool would think that someone should be able to bear boredom and frustration for long hours at a time and that this would be an achievement.

Misgivings by William Matthews
“Perhaps you’ll tire of me,” muses my love, although she’s like a great city to me, or a park that finds new ways to wear each flounce of light and investiture of weather. Soil doesn’t tire of rain, I think, but I know what she fears: plans warp, planes explode, topsoil gets peeled away by floods. And worse than what we can’t control is what we could; those...

“Oh, but the times have changed; the world has changed. Has it? Is the old-fashioned story I was living in my early 20s so far-fetched in our “enlightened” world? Recently I overheard a man say at a yoga class, “Yeah, well, you get two women together and it’s like bitch central.” I could have told him he only needed one, in fact, and that would be me, but it also made me realize how much...
